First Christmas....a month late :)

So it took a really long time for me to be able to get pictures onto my computer at work to be able to blog about Christmas. Somewhere in the travels we misplaced our thing that transfers the pictures from the card to the computer. But, I finally found something that worked and so here is our First Christmas!!
Abram and I both agreed that we really liked having real Christmas trees instead of fake ones so we set out on our adventure to a bunch of parking lots full of trees that were WAY overpriced! We finally found a small one that we didnt feel was too bad of a price and took it home to decorate it.

Our tree all lit up

Us with the tree.(I have really bad red eye)

This year we spent Christmas with my family. So, we drove with my parents to Northern California so that we could spend time with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cute little cousins. I was able to meet two of my cousins that I had never seen before. But, I did a really bad job and didn't take pictures with them!!

After getting fixed up heading from one grandma's house to another!

We were so happy to be able to spend time with family on Christmas and get to know them better and we look forward to spending time with the Clay's next Christmas!

Happy Birthday Honey!!

So, today Abram turned 23!!! I don't think he is going to have that fun of a day. He got up around six and left to be at work at 7 this morning. So he is spending his birthday at work and school til 5. Hopefully I will make his cake right(something that is extremely important to him as I have learned by him telling me how to make it about 20 times in the last week) and make everything all better.

Knowing that we wouldn't have much time today to do much fun for his birthday, I decided to have Friday be his birthday day. After he got off work I met him in Provo and gave him one of his presents early. A Brian Regan cd that we could listen to together on the way up to South Jordan. I bought us a couple tickets to the International Auto Expo. Any of you who know Abram know that he LOVES cars. I actually enjoyed it. It was fun being able to tell him all of the cars that I want him to buy for me someday, specifically I always tell him I would like a Bentley and an Escalade. I forgot to bring the camera in with me but we took a few pictures with our phones that I will try to get posted up. After the Auto Show, we went to Tepanyaki. We sat by a really fun family and the food was great.

Abram is the best guy that I have ever met. Here are some of the things I love about him...
*He buys me a rose every anniversary(yes that means every Month Anniversary)
*If I'm angry or frustrated in any way he buys me my favorite kind of Ben and Jerry's ice cream
*He puts up with me even when I snap at him about stupid things
*He helps clean up around the house even though I'm really bad at it
*He is awesome with kids. If there are little kids in a store or something he makes friends with them
*Everywhere we go he makes friends with random people...at wedding receptions, the guy in front of us at football games, anywhere
*He always scrapes my window off in the mornings even if he is in a hurry to go to school
*He goes to school full time but still puts in a 30+ hour work week
*He watchs my dumb chick flicks with me
*He always opens my car door...in fact he gets mad if I try to do it myself
*And I know that he will always be there for me

Happy Birthday Honey!!! I love you!!

Five Months and I Love You

So we had a very fast start to our dating life, we hung out pretty much everyday. A couple months into our dating, Abram went with a group of his friends to Vegas for a week to go to the Mountain West Conference Basketball something(totally don't remember what its called). The entire time that he was in Vegas, I felt really really sick. Whenever we talked he kept telling me to go to the doctor but with the job that I had at the time, they really didn't give me much time to be able to go and I was just being stubborn in a way.

My throat was killing everyday and I was living off of cough drops and having my first experiences with NyQuil. On Abram's way back on that Sunday he called about a half an hour before he was going to be picking me up to take me to his aunt's house for Sunday dinner. Lets just say I had taken the NyQuil about a half an hour before he called. I went with him to his aunts house but was completely out of it the entire time I was there! Not my best day.

On Tuesday of the next week, Abram convinced me that I needed to go to the doctor and was nice enough to take me there too. I found out that I had really bad strep. So after getting my medicine, Abram took me back to my apartment, gave me my medicine, and we just sat there and watched TV. While we were watching I randomly blurted out, "I'm pretty sure I love you." I didn't exactly get the response I was hoping for in that. Actually I didn't get a response at all. So, that kinda put me down a little bit especially because I was taking him to meet my parents that weekend. I didn't push the issue since I didn't want to force him to say it.

The next day was Wednesday, our day off. I was still kind of sad about the whole situation, but we were going up to South Jordan to pick up a few things for my parents store. On the way up he told me about his friend(who started dating a girl AFTER we started dating) and his girlfriend. He said that the night before she had told him that she loved him. So at this point I was thinking hmmm maybe this is going to be his way of bringing that back up again. But, I was wrong. After he said that he didn't say anything else so I asked "And what did he say". Abram just said, "I don't know." It was like pouring salt in an open wound. I was sitting there thinking that he had to have brought that up on purpose but why didn't he say anything about what I had said last night.

That night, we decided to watch Enchanted. Abram knew that I really really liked that movie, so the day it came out he went and bought it for me on DVD. At some time during the movie we somehow started talking about how we felt about each other or something like that. By this time it had been a full 24 hours since I had said those words to him and he hadn't said anything at all back to me. So, I was pretty snappy in saying "I'm pretty sure that we've already had this discussion." He had a pretty confused look on his face and said "What did you say?" so I responded, "I said that I was pretty sure I loved you." Then he said, "What did I say?" So once again in a very snappy way I said, "You didn't say anything."

Once again there was silence. We were laying there and I was facing away from him so I couldn't see his face or tell what he was thinking. Then, I realized that he was asleep. I thought I was going to cry! For the second time I had put my heart out there and he hadn't responded at all. It definitely didn't help that as I was sitting there wondering what I should do the song "How does she know.." comes on in the movie. That was the end of the rope. I was so angry that I got up and walked into the kitchen to get some water and decide what I should do. After standing in there for a few mins I walked back and sat down on the couch. Just then, he woke up and without missing a beat said, "I'm pretty sure I love you too."

It took me a few days to get over being angry about it all and tell him the whole story of what happened. Supposedly the Candy show that we were watching on TV the first time I had said it was pretty fascinating cause he supposedly didn't hear me. But, he just tells everyone that I must have forgiven him because I still married him.
