Four Months! The first Date

Like I said last month I'm going to be writting about how we met, started dating, got engaged and all of that fun stuff. So if you haven't read the last one you should probably do that first or you might be confused.

So after Abram got my phone number from another guy at work, we started to txt all weekend while I was in Brian Head with Erica snowboarding. After a really fun weekend we reluctently head home on Sunday. Once I got home Abram invited me to come over to one of his friends houses there in Provo/Orem. I asked him specifically if his friends knew that I was coming over and he told me yes. So when I got the the house he just told me to walk in. When I walked in to the living room I could tell by the looks on their faces that they hadnt had much notice, if any at all. So there in front of me sat 5 guys who worked with me. I was the supervisor and they were the agents. It was extremely awkward and the whole time that I was there I was in a lot of pain(im not very good at the snowboarding thing).

After the first awkward hang out we saw each other at work the next day. Abram worked the shift before me so it only overlapped by a few hours. When he was leaving I told him I was pretty hungry and he volunteered to get me some food. So after I got off work I thanked him for getting the food for me and suggested we hang out again sometime. A few mins later he called me and was like do you wanna set your roomate up with my friend and go see a movie. Erica was nice enough to go on a date with us(our first date). We went to the dollar theater with all of his friends and their girlfriends.

The next day Abram invited me to go to his institute class with him. On the way walking into the building he mentions that it is something to do with Marriage or Eternal Partners or something like that. Thats an interesting second date. It actually was really really good.

Then on Wednesday I decided to take the day off and volunteer to work the Saturday schedule since I was going in every Saturday anyways. That was Abrams day off also. So, we planned on hanging out and going out to lunch that day. So, I was trying to get all ready for the date and he shows up early! I didnt have any makeup on but all of my roomies were gone so I had to answer the door. So I opened the door and the first word to come out of my mouth was "JERK". Well me without make up must not have scared him that bad cause we still had a good date...yes he sat in the living room while I finished getting ready.

We went to Tucano's, Abrams favorite restraunt, and walked around in the shops around there. Thats where he first held my hand. It made a pretty good impression on me when he kept holding my hand even when we saw his mission comp. He then took me to the mall where we wandered around and tried on sunglasses. He bought me some sheet music(the love of my life) for the piano. Then we went into Sports Authority where his brother-in-law Cade works and introduced me. I thought that was all a pretty good sign.

So Cade ended up calling Abram later that night to ask if we were going out. He didnt know that Abram was still with me. Anyways one thing led to another and we decided to start dating. Yes I know it was really really fast! He didnt end up kissing me that night but I was extremely happy because he had held my hand in front of friends and family. Bought me presents, paid for the meal and didnt mind spending time with me a lot! And he always opened my door...still does to this day.

This is a picture of us trying on sunglasses that day that we went to the mall.

Until next month... xoxo

A Very Good December Weekend!

I have to go up to South Jordan every 4 months to get my ring inspected and cleaned. So the first weekend in December was the weekend we chose to go up. We still had a few gift cards from our wedding reception to Jcpenny and Macys so we decided that we would try buying some Christmas gifts up there at the same time. We ended up finding the gifts for eachother and got my ring cleaned, inspected and redipped(white gold) while we were shopping. Abram and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out what we wanted for our Christmas presents. After our shopping adventures we took a trip up to Salt Lake. We have a book full of coupons so we ate at a Mexican Restraunt called the Blue Iguana(its very very good!!). After dinner I took Abram to Temple Square for his first ever time of seeing the Christmas Lights there! I had forgotten how beautiful and fun it was to go. There were also choir concerts going on the same day that we went so we were able to go and watch the Pine View Chamber Choir(from St. George) perform. Abram actually ended up enjoying it a lot when they sang like a pig latin version of Jingle Bells. We werent very smart and forgot to charge our camera battery and some so some of the pictures will be a little blurry cause they are from our cell phones.

The Muppet Christmas Carol!!!

So in my family it became somewhat of a tradition to watch The Muppet Christmas Carol every Christmas Season. Abram remembered me talking about the movie and trying to quote different parts to him and he would have no idea what I was talking about. So as a surprise to me he saw at BYU that they were showing it on campus for a dollar! So this last Friday he took me to watch it! He ended up liking it a lot and now I can quote parts of the movie to him and he will understand!! It was an awesome date and it was really cheap!!

It is my all time favorite Christmas Movie. For those of you who have seen it "This is my island in the sun!" and for those of you that haven't seen it yet I strongly suggest watching it!!!

Our First Thanksgiving!

So our first Thanksgiving wasn't exactly how we had wanted it. We are planning on going to California at Christmas time to spend this year with my family, so that required us to make a few sacrifices. Thanksgiving was one of them. In order to get Christmas off Abram worked Thanksgiving day from 10 am til 7 pm. So I spent Thanksgiving Day packing and cleaning our house. Luckily after Abram got off work we were able to drive to Enterprise to spend some of the weekend with my parents.

It ended up being a VERY QUICK but really fun couple of days for us. We got there really late on Thursday night and then on Friday morning we headed for St. George to watch Abram's 14 year old cousin Dallin play in a soccer tournement. Since my dad was working at their store that day, we brought my mom along(It's the first soccer game I've ever known of her going to). Dallin's team ended up winning and it was a fun experience to go watch him at Dixie College.

The next day my parents, Abram, and I went out to eat in St. George and played 2 hours of Laser Tag! Which I was very happy about! We were happy to have been able to spend time with family even if it wasnt on Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Birthday Mikey!

Yesterday was my brother Mike's 23rd Birthday! He has been there for me A LOT the past few years. I remember when he left on his mission I would cry everytime that I had to sing Called to Serve for over a year. Pretty sad I know. But I love him and I'm glad that he is always there for me. Happy Birthday Mikey!!!

Fun with old roomies!

So the 18th of November was my old roomie Lisa's 21st birthday. She had a Mocktail Party on Friday that we got to get all dressed up and go to. There wasn't any alcohol just virgin margaritas and rootbeer and sprite and jello shots. But we did play drinking games. Here are some pics. It ended up working out that Abram was the ONLY guy there but o well haha.

Lisa(the birthday girl), being from College Station, Texas, knows how to open a "beer" bottle with her arm....or so she says.

The look Lisa gave Abram for taking a picture of her after she spilt her cup of rootbeer on the floor, her dress, and her cell phone. She wasn't very happy with him if you can't tell.

Abram posing with his rootbeer bottle and jello shot. It was fun getting all dressed up in "cocktail" attire. Ya...we didn't really know what that was.

Me and my old Roomies, Cody, Lisa, and Bre

Abram and the Girls.

And Yes that is a crown that he is wearing.

We all had a lot of fun. My stomach hurt REALLY bad from drinking so much soda though without much food. The next day we continued to celebrate her birthday by going to Tucanos, its a Brazilian Grill. All you can eat meat and salad bar. Birthday tradition. Unfortunately, the great weekend didn't have the best ending when we went with Abram's old roomies and watched the BYU vs. Utah game....enough said about that. But over all it was a fun weekend with friends!!

Three Months...and a day.

So yesterday marks Abram and I being married for 3 months. So I decided on every Anniversary I can take the chance for everyone to get to know our dating and pre-married life since nothing much is new with us otherwise. So last time I told about how we met and our first real interaction with each other so I will just start from there...

So, after I didn't show up to bring him food or anything on that first Saturday we just gradually started talking every once in a while. Since I was a supervisor at work I had to know a lot about my teams personal life. Lets just say that some of the were going through a pretty hard time in life. One in particular had some health problems, was pregnant, and had a couple very young kids. One week the apartment building that she lived in caught on fire. So, I offered to help her move to a new apartment building since she didn't have much help. But, the problem was, I knew there was only so much help that me and my roomies could offer, so I needed to find some guys to help out. I had a really hard time trying to think of someone to ask so I finally decided to ask Abram and his friends to help out. (Abram had 4 friends that worked at Teleperformance with us.)

I went up to Abram and I really hadn't thought through what I was going to say very well. I just walked up to his desk and said "Hey, what are you doing Friday night." I automatically got really embarrassed knowing what it must have sounded like and he was just sitting there smiling! So as fast as I could I said "NO NO NO! I'm not asking you on a date or anything! I need help moving someone." By then I'm sure you all know what he was thinking and he was just sitting there with a smirk on his face. He just was like sure I'll help. And I just walked away completely embarrassed.

It ended up not working out with us helping my agent move that week. So our next real interaction was me trying to get him to work Overtime for me on Saturday again. I started to talk to him right when he was going to log off and go home for the day. So, in the middle of me talking to him about working overtime, there was a supervisor call that I had to go take. I asked him not to leave so that I could talk to him.

Lets just say it was a very very long supervisor call, and abram was waiting at the front of the call center for about a half an hour. Once I finally got up there I asked him again if he wanted to work overtime for me on Saturday. He asked if I was going to be around and I told him that Erica and I were going on a snowboarding trip so no I wouldn't be. We had a super long conversation about whether or not he would do it and at some point I told him he could come hang out with me and my roomies if he worked for me. But, I also mentioned that some of the guys we worked with come over and hang out all the time. Supposedly he took that not so well like he has to work in order to hang out with me and these other guys didn't. It also didn't help much that one of the supervisors that was my friend, Dustin, came up and was like its not a good idea if the two of us hang out. I ended up getting frustrated and told Dustin to ask him to work overtime then and walked away.

Later that day I came to find out that Abram, after saying no to me so many times, had said yes to working overtime for Dustin! As you can imagine I was pretty upset about it. It made me think that he didn't really like me all that much which is why I was completely surprised when he txt one of the guys that I had been hanging out with and asked for my phone number.

To Be Continued.....Next Month! Hope you are enjoying!

BYU Football Fun!

So this year Abram and I decided that we would splurge and get BYU All-Sports Passes. So, we've been able to go to all of the home football games this year where we sit with some of his friends. We usually forget to bring the camera in with us but this time I finally remembered!! It was the last home game of the season against San Diego State where we won!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Hey everyone! So these are some pictures from a few months ago when a group of us decided to go on an "Emo Date". Some of the boys and I went to the game that day and we all got burnt SO bad! But, overall, I thought it was pretty fun and I LOVED having blue streaks in my hair. So I thought it was a fitting time to post this since I'm not sure if we will be dressing up today or not!

Here is the whole group of us that went to Chili's together. You cant really tell that we are dressed emo but the boys all had their hair dyed black and had makeup on and Erica and I had blue in our hair.
The group of girls.

The guys posing around Steve's motorcycle.

Me and Erica. I'm not that great of a fan of me in the picture but it's fun.

Abram playing on a scooter afterwards. Can you see his farmers tan??

I hope you all have a Happy Halloween and let you know not to be afraid to dress emo. . . You will just be stared at all night long and put into the corner of the restraunt.

TWO MONTHS!!

I cant believe that it has been two months since Abram and I got married in the Seattle Temple! Probably doesn't sound very long to most of you but time has flown by. I thought it would be fun since I haven't really written much about us on here to start telling about how we first met and our first date and all of that.

We first met working at Teleperformance USA. It was a call center and we worked for Sprint Customer Service. I was a supervisor at the time for the night shift and he was an agent on the phones for the WAY too early in the morning, morning shift. Lets just say I was one of the only single girl supervisors working there at the time and so the management liked to put me up to trying to recruit people to work extra hours on Saturdays. And I was VERY good at it. There were certain agents on the call floor that may or may not have liked me so I took advantage of that fact and half flirted with them in order to get them to work overtime for me. Now I know what you are all thinking! Once it got as far as them asking me out I would back off and walk away. Abram WASN'T one of those guys.

Abram just happened to witness me "recruiting" one day and we had never really talked at all before. They guy was turning bright red because he was pretty shy and all and so Abram just started laughing at me. I had no idea that he had been watching me and was kinda embarrassed. So I went over and tried to recruit him to do some overtime for me on Saturday. I didn't do any flirting or anything like that with him just asked. He told me that him and his friends were going to Tucanos that weekend and if I could somehow beat that then he would stay and work. (For those of you that don't know what Tucanos is, it is a Brazilian restraunt where they just bring around tons of different types of really good meat.) I took that as a challenge and told him that I was a REALLY good cook. He then went on to tell me that if I would bring him food on Saturday then he would stay. I didn't show up at all Saturday....at least until I knew he had gone home for the day.

And here we are 2 months later happily married!!! I love him very much and am so happy how he treats me everyday. He puts up with A LOT from me and my cooking now ;) Love you honey!

Our Engagement Pictures!

So I decided to make some use of my time here at work and start up a blog. Im not sure if anyone will ever look at it but oh well. Here are some of our Engagement Pictures from back in June I think.

This was the start of a couple hours of picture taking. Lets just say I learned fast that Abram has a short attention span when it comes to having pictures taken.

Seriously like 15 mins after starting to take pictures!

And my reaction.
