Four Months! The first Date

Like I said last month I'm going to be writting about how we met, started dating, got engaged and all of that fun stuff. So if you haven't read the last one you should probably do that first or you might be confused.

So after Abram got my phone number from another guy at work, we started to txt all weekend while I was in Brian Head with Erica snowboarding. After a really fun weekend we reluctently head home on Sunday. Once I got home Abram invited me to come over to one of his friends houses there in Provo/Orem. I asked him specifically if his friends knew that I was coming over and he told me yes. So when I got the the house he just told me to walk in. When I walked in to the living room I could tell by the looks on their faces that they hadnt had much notice, if any at all. So there in front of me sat 5 guys who worked with me. I was the supervisor and they were the agents. It was extremely awkward and the whole time that I was there I was in a lot of pain(im not very good at the snowboarding thing).

After the first awkward hang out we saw each other at work the next day. Abram worked the shift before me so it only overlapped by a few hours. When he was leaving I told him I was pretty hungry and he volunteered to get me some food. So after I got off work I thanked him for getting the food for me and suggested we hang out again sometime. A few mins later he called me and was like do you wanna set your roomate up with my friend and go see a movie. Erica was nice enough to go on a date with us(our first date). We went to the dollar theater with all of his friends and their girlfriends.

The next day Abram invited me to go to his institute class with him. On the way walking into the building he mentions that it is something to do with Marriage or Eternal Partners or something like that. Thats an interesting second date. It actually was really really good.

Then on Wednesday I decided to take the day off and volunteer to work the Saturday schedule since I was going in every Saturday anyways. That was Abrams day off also. So, we planned on hanging out and going out to lunch that day. So, I was trying to get all ready for the date and he shows up early! I didnt have any makeup on but all of my roomies were gone so I had to answer the door. So I opened the door and the first word to come out of my mouth was "JERK". Well me without make up must not have scared him that bad cause we still had a good date...yes he sat in the living room while I finished getting ready.

We went to Tucano's, Abrams favorite restraunt, and walked around in the shops around there. Thats where he first held my hand. It made a pretty good impression on me when he kept holding my hand even when we saw his mission comp. He then took me to the mall where we wandered around and tried on sunglasses. He bought me some sheet music(the love of my life) for the piano. Then we went into Sports Authority where his brother-in-law Cade works and introduced me. I thought that was all a pretty good sign.

So Cade ended up calling Abram later that night to ask if we were going out. He didnt know that Abram was still with me. Anyways one thing led to another and we decided to start dating. Yes I know it was really really fast! He didnt end up kissing me that night but I was extremely happy because he had held my hand in front of friends and family. Bought me presents, paid for the meal and didnt mind spending time with me a lot! And he always opened my door...still does to this day.

This is a picture of us trying on sunglasses that day that we went to the mall.

Until next month... xoxo

A Very Good December Weekend!

I have to go up to South Jordan every 4 months to get my ring inspected and cleaned. So the first weekend in December was the weekend we chose to go up. We still had a few gift cards from our wedding reception to Jcpenny and Macys so we decided that we would try buying some Christmas gifts up there at the same time. We ended up finding the gifts for eachother and got my ring cleaned, inspected and redipped(white gold) while we were shopping. Abram and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out what we wanted for our Christmas presents. After our shopping adventures we took a trip up to Salt Lake. We have a book full of coupons so we ate at a Mexican Restraunt called the Blue Iguana(its very very good!!). After dinner I took Abram to Temple Square for his first ever time of seeing the Christmas Lights there! I had forgotten how beautiful and fun it was to go. There were also choir concerts going on the same day that we went so we were able to go and watch the Pine View Chamber Choir(from St. George) perform. Abram actually ended up enjoying it a lot when they sang like a pig latin version of Jingle Bells. We werent very smart and forgot to charge our camera battery and some so some of the pictures will be a little blurry cause they are from our cell phones.

The Muppet Christmas Carol!!!

So in my family it became somewhat of a tradition to watch The Muppet Christmas Carol every Christmas Season. Abram remembered me talking about the movie and trying to quote different parts to him and he would have no idea what I was talking about. So as a surprise to me he saw at BYU that they were showing it on campus for a dollar! So this last Friday he took me to watch it! He ended up liking it a lot and now I can quote parts of the movie to him and he will understand!! It was an awesome date and it was really cheap!!

It is my all time favorite Christmas Movie. For those of you who have seen it "This is my island in the sun!" and for those of you that haven't seen it yet I strongly suggest watching it!!!

Our First Thanksgiving!

So our first Thanksgiving wasn't exactly how we had wanted it. We are planning on going to California at Christmas time to spend this year with my family, so that required us to make a few sacrifices. Thanksgiving was one of them. In order to get Christmas off Abram worked Thanksgiving day from 10 am til 7 pm. So I spent Thanksgiving Day packing and cleaning our house. Luckily after Abram got off work we were able to drive to Enterprise to spend some of the weekend with my parents.

It ended up being a VERY QUICK but really fun couple of days for us. We got there really late on Thursday night and then on Friday morning we headed for St. George to watch Abram's 14 year old cousin Dallin play in a soccer tournement. Since my dad was working at their store that day, we brought my mom along(It's the first soccer game I've ever known of her going to). Dallin's team ended up winning and it was a fun experience to go watch him at Dixie College.

The next day my parents, Abram, and I went out to eat in St. George and played 2 hours of Laser Tag! Which I was very happy about! We were happy to have been able to spend time with family even if it wasnt on Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Birthday Mikey!

Yesterday was my brother Mike's 23rd Birthday! He has been there for me A LOT the past few years. I remember when he left on his mission I would cry everytime that I had to sing Called to Serve for over a year. Pretty sad I know. But I love him and I'm glad that he is always there for me. Happy Birthday Mikey!!!

Fun with old roomies!

So the 18th of November was my old roomie Lisa's 21st birthday. She had a Mocktail Party on Friday that we got to get all dressed up and go to. There wasn't any alcohol just virgin margaritas and rootbeer and sprite and jello shots. But we did play drinking games. Here are some pics. It ended up working out that Abram was the ONLY guy there but o well haha.

Lisa(the birthday girl), being from College Station, Texas, knows how to open a "beer" bottle with her arm....or so she says.

The look Lisa gave Abram for taking a picture of her after she spilt her cup of rootbeer on the floor, her dress, and her cell phone. She wasn't very happy with him if you can't tell.

Abram posing with his rootbeer bottle and jello shot. It was fun getting all dressed up in "cocktail" attire. Ya...we didn't really know what that was.

Me and my old Roomies, Cody, Lisa, and Bre

Abram and the Girls.

And Yes that is a crown that he is wearing.

We all had a lot of fun. My stomach hurt REALLY bad from drinking so much soda though without much food. The next day we continued to celebrate her birthday by going to Tucanos, its a Brazilian Grill. All you can eat meat and salad bar. Birthday tradition. Unfortunately, the great weekend didn't have the best ending when we went with Abram's old roomies and watched the BYU vs. Utah game....enough said about that. But over all it was a fun weekend with friends!!
