One Whole Year Already!!!!!

So Sunday was our One Year Anniversary! I can't believe how fast this past year has gone by. We have learned and grown together so much over the past year. For our anniversary we celebrated a week early. We went up to Logan and stayed in the Anniversary Inn there. I LOVED IT! I would highly recommend trying it out sometime. It's a fun atmosphere and the food is good too! We had hoped to be able to completely get away and go on a cruise or something exotic like that but decided to spend our time off with family and friends instead. So, this was a great way to have a little get away without having to take off work or spend a lot of money. When I get a second to upload our pictures I will write a post just about our trip to the Anniversary Inn cause it is that good!

On Friday we went shopping for presents for our anniversary. Abram had given me the option of getting a wedding band for my ring or getting a keyboard(piano). Abram had spotted a really good deal at Costco so he took me to look at it. I fell in love. I had been looking around for a while and I was pretty picky about what I wanted. I wanted the full size keyboard with weighted keys that actually sounded like a piano. I also wanted it to come with a stand and a sustaining pedal and thought it would be nice if it came with a seat of some sorts but it wasn't a priority. So when I went to Costco with him to look at the one that he had seen I was so excited!!! It had EVERYTHING that I wanted and it was cheaper than any of them that I had seen in the past and came along with more then the ones I had looked at. So that was my anniversary present from Abram. I have been playing it quite frequently and randomly. I'm surprised that Abram doesn't hate it since I play when he is watching tv. One thing Abram loves about it is that it has a program that will teach you songs and show you what keys to hit. And I love that it has all different kinds of songs built in, different sounds and rythems that you can use, that it has a recorder so you can record yourself and listen to it, and that it has a plug in for head phones! As you can tell I'm really excted about it!

For Abram's present we took a little trip to Macy's and he picked out a Fossil watch that he really liked. I love it too. It's all black and goes really good with his casual clothes and his pin stripe suit. He wore it on Saturday to the Real Salt Lake game and to Church and he had people comment on it both places.

We are so blessed that we both have good jobs and that Abram is able to attend school and we have a great place to live! We are very lucky. I am so glad that Abram took a chance on me. He has helped me through many difficult times, bought me LOTS of Ben and Jerry's and flowers, tried to help me stop worrying about what people think all the time, and loves me unconditionally.

I can't wait to see what happens for us in the year to come!!!!

I'm an Aunt!

Last Monday, May 11th, Abram's sister Rachael had her baby boy, Wyatt K Youd! Abram and I went to the hospital a few hours after she had him to see how they were doing. They were both doing really good and I got to hold my first ever newborn, as in same day they were born. Just about every other day since then I've been lucky enough to go and see them and hold him. At first I was scared to hold that little of a baby. But now I love it and it helps me relax a lot. I also got to go see Celisa's baby Olivia last week too. She is about a week and a few days older than Wyatt and is getting so big already! Here are a few pictures of Wyatt that I stole off of Rachael's facebook page since I've been bad and haven't taken any pictures on my camera!

It's been a while...

So its been a couple months since I actually updated this. We haven't been up to all that much Abram has just been going to school and I've been working. This last weekend we got to go to our friends wedding. We got to go the ceremony with them in the Salt Lake Temple. I was so excited for this because it was my first time going to someone elses wedding and my first time in the Salt Lake Temple! The ceremony was amazing and that night we also went to their reception. Unfortunately, our camera battery was dead and we couldn't find the charger for it!(Before that we couldn't find the cord that goes from the camera to the computer which is one of the reasons I haven't written in so long, I couldn't put pictures on!) We also got to hang out with Mike and Val and play Rock Band 2 which I completely love! And it was really good to see them!

Well here are a couple pics of the two of us in the last little while.

Two Sister-in-laws' Birthdays!

So within the past week TWO of my sister-in-laws have had birthdays! Last week was Val's birthday and today is Rachael's.

Since I never had a sister of my own I was really happy when a year and a half ago my brother got married to Val! She is so much fun to be around. I especially loved when we used to play raquetball together against Mike. VERY entertaining times. And was there for me during some hard ones too!

And when I got engaged it made me even more excited to know that I would have 2 more sisters in law! Rae was really nice and willing to do my hair for the wedding, which is a lot more work than it may sound like. We had the run through before my bridal pictures, then she did it again for my bridal pictures, then for the reception in Enterprise, and FINALLY the last time when I got married.
I appriciate everything that both of them do for me! I wish I got to hang out with both of them a lot more because I really am glad to finally have sisters of my own!! Happy Birthday to both of you!!!
P. S. Sadly I didn't have any pictures of either of them on my computer since the one with all my pictures here at work got stolen and I havent put them back on again, I got these off of my facebook. so sorry!

Birthday Pictures!

I thought that I would post a few pictures from Abram's birthday a couple of weeks ago since I neglected to take any pictures this weekend(Abram's soccer game, BYU game, Baby Shower, and Superbowl Party).

Starting to open his presents!

The big box with a bunch of little presents inside and the 1st birthday balloon. It was the only one with a soccer ball on it and its his first birthday with me :)

His cake that wasn't as hard to make as I thought it would be, and him blowing out the candles.

We also got to see our "Brother" Ricky before he reported to the MTC.
Even though I was bad and didnt take pictures, Abram did win his soccer game on Saturday, BYU won the Basketball game, and C's baby shower was amazing! It was a busy but great weekend!!

First Christmas....a month late :)

So it took a really long time for me to be able to get pictures onto my computer at work to be able to blog about Christmas. Somewhere in the travels we misplaced our thing that transfers the pictures from the card to the computer. But, I finally found something that worked and so here is our First Christmas!!
Abram and I both agreed that we really liked having real Christmas trees instead of fake ones so we set out on our adventure to a bunch of parking lots full of trees that were WAY overpriced! We finally found a small one that we didnt feel was too bad of a price and took it home to decorate it.

Our tree all lit up

Us with the tree.(I have really bad red eye)

This year we spent Christmas with my family. So, we drove with my parents to Northern California so that we could spend time with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cute little cousins. I was able to meet two of my cousins that I had never seen before. But, I did a really bad job and didn't take pictures with them!!

Us on Christmas morning with some of our presents

After getting fixed up heading from one grandma's house to another!

We were so happy to be able to spend time with family on Christmas and get to know them better and we look forward to spending time with the Clay's next Christmas!

Happy Birthday Honey!!

So, today Abram turned 23!!! I don't think he is going to have that fun of a day. He got up around six and left to be at work at 7 this morning. So he is spending his birthday at work and school til 5. Hopefully I will make his cake right(something that is extremely important to him as I have learned by him telling me how to make it about 20 times in the last week) and make everything all better.

Knowing that we wouldn't have much time today to do much fun for his birthday, I decided to have Friday be his birthday day. After he got off work I met him in Provo and gave him one of his presents early. A Brian Regan cd that we could listen to together on the way up to South Jordan. I bought us a couple tickets to the International Auto Expo. Any of you who know Abram know that he LOVES cars. I actually enjoyed it. It was fun being able to tell him all of the cars that I want him to buy for me someday, specifically I always tell him I would like a Bentley and an Escalade. I forgot to bring the camera in with me but we took a few pictures with our phones that I will try to get posted up. After the Auto Show, we went to Tepanyaki. We sat by a really fun family and the food was great.

Abram is the best guy that I have ever met. Here are some of the things I love about him...
*He buys me a rose every anniversary(yes that means every Month Anniversary)
*If I'm angry or frustrated in any way he buys me my favorite kind of Ben and Jerry's ice cream
*He puts up with me even when I snap at him about stupid things
*He helps clean up around the house even though I'm really bad at it
*He is awesome with kids. If there are little kids in a store or something he makes friends with them
*Everywhere we go he makes friends with random people...at wedding receptions, the guy in front of us at football games, anywhere
*He always scrapes my window off in the mornings even if he is in a hurry to go to school
*He goes to school full time but still puts in a 30+ hour work week
*He watchs my dumb chick flicks with me
*He always opens my car door...in fact he gets mad if I try to do it myself
*And I know that he will always be there for me

Happy Birthday Honey!!! I love you!!

Five Months and I Love You

So we had a very fast start to our dating life, we hung out pretty much everyday. A couple months into our dating, Abram went with a group of his friends to Vegas for a week to go to the Mountain West Conference Basketball something(totally don't remember what its called). The entire time that he was in Vegas, I felt really really sick. Whenever we talked he kept telling me to go to the doctor but with the job that I had at the time, they really didn't give me much time to be able to go and I was just being stubborn in a way.

My throat was killing everyday and I was living off of cough drops and having my first experiences with NyQuil. On Abram's way back on that Sunday he called about a half an hour before he was going to be picking me up to take me to his aunt's house for Sunday dinner. Lets just say I had taken the NyQuil about a half an hour before he called. I went with him to his aunts house but was completely out of it the entire time I was there! Not my best day.

On Tuesday of the next week, Abram convinced me that I needed to go to the doctor and was nice enough to take me there too. I found out that I had really bad strep. So after getting my medicine, Abram took me back to my apartment, gave me my medicine, and we just sat there and watched TV. While we were watching I randomly blurted out, "I'm pretty sure I love you." I didn't exactly get the response I was hoping for in that. Actually I didn't get a response at all. So, that kinda put me down a little bit especially because I was taking him to meet my parents that weekend. I didn't push the issue since I didn't want to force him to say it.

The next day was Wednesday, our day off. I was still kind of sad about the whole situation, but we were going up to South Jordan to pick up a few things for my parents store. On the way up he told me about his friend(who started dating a girl AFTER we started dating) and his girlfriend. He said that the night before she had told him that she loved him. So at this point I was thinking hmmm maybe this is going to be his way of bringing that back up again. But, I was wrong. After he said that he didn't say anything else so I asked "And what did he say". Abram just said, "I don't know." It was like pouring salt in an open wound. I was sitting there thinking that he had to have brought that up on purpose but why didn't he say anything about what I had said last night.

That night, we decided to watch Enchanted. Abram knew that I really really liked that movie, so the day it came out he went and bought it for me on DVD. At some time during the movie we somehow started talking about how we felt about each other or something like that. By this time it had been a full 24 hours since I had said those words to him and he hadn't said anything at all back to me. So, I was pretty snappy in saying "I'm pretty sure that we've already had this discussion." He had a pretty confused look on his face and said "What did you say?" so I responded, "I said that I was pretty sure I loved you." Then he said, "What did I say?" So once again in a very snappy way I said, "You didn't say anything."

Once again there was silence. We were laying there and I was facing away from him so I couldn't see his face or tell what he was thinking. Then, I realized that he was asleep. I thought I was going to cry! For the second time I had put my heart out there and he hadn't responded at all. It definitely didn't help that as I was sitting there wondering what I should do the song "How does she know.." comes on in the movie. That was the end of the rope. I was so angry that I got up and walked into the kitchen to get some water and decide what I should do. After standing in there for a few mins I walked back and sat down on the couch. Just then, he woke up and without missing a beat said, "I'm pretty sure I love you too."

It took me a few days to get over being angry about it all and tell him the whole story of what happened. Supposedly the Candy show that we were watching on TV the first time I had said it was pretty fascinating cause he supposedly didn't hear me. But, he just tells everyone that I must have forgiven him because I still married him.
